Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13 October 2026
These terms apply when you book a class or buy an online course or tutorial on woolandsilk.co.uk. Please read them before you pay. If anything is unclear, just get in touch.
1. About us
Wool&Silk Art studio is run by Svetlana Lilley, 29 Hunter Street, Briton Ferry, SA11 2RL, Wales, United Kingdom. Phone 07818 893524. You can also reach us through our contact form.
2. Booking and paying
- Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the full price you pay. If you pay in another currency, your bank may add a conversion fee.
- Payments are taken securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- Your contract with us starts when your payment goes through and we send your confirmation email.
- Online booking for a studio class closes 48 hours before it starts, so we can prepare materials. For a later booking, please contact us.
3. Studio classes: cancelling or changing your booking
Our classes are small, and materials are prepared for each person, so we have to plan ahead.
- 4 weeks (28 days) or more before the class: you can cancel for a full refund, or move your place to another date of the same class for free.
- Between 4 and 2 weeks before the class: we can’t refund you, but you can move your place to another date of the same class for free, once.
- Less than 2 weeks (14 days) before the class: we can’t refund you or move your booking. You can still send a friend in your place. Just tell us their name before the class.
- If you miss the class without telling us, we can’t offer a refund or another date.
- Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, within 14 days of us agreeing to them.
Classes are leisure services on a specific date. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day “cooling-off” period doesn’t apply to them. This policy is what applies instead.
4. If we cancel or change a class
Sometimes we may have to cancel or move a class, for example because of illness, severe weather or too few bookings. If we do, we’ll tell you as soon as we can. You can then choose either a full refund or a free place on another date. We aren’t responsible for travel or accommodation you have booked separately, so please bear this in mind.
5. At the class
- All materials are included unless the class description says otherwise. You take home what you make.
- Wet felting uses warm soapy water, wool and silk. Please tell us before the class about any allergies, skin conditions or access needs, so we can help.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult unless the class says otherwise. The adult stays responsible for them.
- We sometimes take photos in class to share online. We always ask first, and you can say no.
6. Online courses and tutorials
- When you buy an online course or tutorial, you can watch it straight away by signing in to your account on this website.
- No refunds once access starts. By their nature, online courses and tutorials are digital products: once you can watch them, they can’t be returned. So we don’t refund them once access has started.
- Access is for you personally. Please don’t share your login or copy, download, resell or publish the videos or written materials.
- You keep access for as long as we offer the course on this website. If we ever withdraw a course, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice by email.
- Extras that are only offered for a limited time, such as live calls or a private group, are included only if they are offered on the date you buy. They run as described on the course page.
- We sell online courses worldwide. Prices include UK VAT where it applies. Any local taxes on digital purchases are handled as the law of your country requires.
7. Our content
The videos, photos, patterns, designs and text on this website belong to Wool&Silk Art studio. You may use what you learn to make felt pieces for yourself, as gifts or to sell. Please don’t reproduce our teaching materials or run classes based on them.
8. Your personal data
We use your details only to run your booking or course and to keep you informed. Our Privacy Policy explains how.
9. Complaints and the law
If something isn’t right, please contact us first. We’ll always try to put it right quickly. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or another country, you can also bring a claim where you live. You also keep any consumer rights that the law of your own country gives you.
